eli – Privacy Notice (GDPR-Compliant)

1. Who we are
eli (“we”, “us”, “our”) is a simple location-based restaurant finder.
We help you discover independent places to eat.
We don’t collect your personal data. Like… at all.
2. What data we collect
We don’t collect, store, or sell any personal information about you.
No accounts.
No names.
No emails.
No phone numbers.
No tracking profiles.
Nothing.
The only thing we use is your device’s location on your device to show nearby restaurants.
This information never comes to us. It stays between you and Google Maps, which powers the map inside the app.
3. Google Maps API
eli uses the Google Maps Platform to show nearby independent restaurants.
Because of that, Google may collect certain technical data, like:
· your device’s approximate location
· IP address
· map interaction (zooming, searching, panning)
This data goes directly to Google, not to us.
We do not have access to it.
Google processes this under its own Privacy Policy.
4. Do we share your data with third-party data brokers?
No. Absolutely not.
Since we don’t collect personal data, we have nothing to share.
We do not work with data brokers of any kind.
We don’t sell or trade user info (because we don’t have any).
5. Is data from the app linked with third-party data for marketing or advertising?
Nope. Zero.
We don’t collect personal data and we don’t run ads.
We don’t link any data with Google, Meta, TikTok, or anyone else.
We’re not building profiles.
We’re not doing targeted marketing.
We’re just showing you indie restaurants near you.
6. Cookies & tracking
eli does not use cookies.
We do not use tracking technology.
The only external service is Google Maps, which operates independently and may use its own tracking per Google’s policies.
7. Children’s privacy
eli is not directed at children under 13.
We still don’t collect any personal data, but legally we’ve gotta say this.
8. Your rights (under GDPR)
Since we don’t hold personal data on you, there’s nothing to access, edit, delete, or object to.
But if you ever think something’s off, drop us a message and we’ll sort it.
